Hi I'm Rebecca, Founder/ Owner of Birthing Plus. When I am not busy with educating, being a doula or taking pictures, I am busy with my 4 beautiful children. My husband and I have 2 beautiful lively girls and 2 adorable adventurous boys. 

I found my interest in photography at a very young age with my frst camera. I would use blankets as backdrops and stuff animlas as 'props' and ask my cousins and sister to be my 'models' I had so much fun 'posing' and directing them to get the perfect picture.

I had a very textbook pregnancy with my first child. After she was born she started nursing like she had been doing it for months or years! I give a lot of credit to the lactation consultants that were there to help me. I then knew I wanted to be the one helping moms. I am now in the process of completing the hours needed to be certified as a lactation consultant.

In 2011 I entered the world of DSLR cameras and never looked back! I started a photography company but I wanted a way to also incorporate my love for helping moms with nursing. Birthing Plus was born!

In 2014 I was researching for a friend about midwives and doulas and found myself wanting to know more! I then found DONA, they were having a training session just down the street from me. This was yet another way to help moms, their partners and babies. 

Well there it is a little touch of how Birthing Plus came to be:)
